Your Retracea account & library
When you use the Retracea web or mobile app, we process the account information provided by your sign-in method, such as your email address, display name, and profile photo. We store the library content you choose to save, including URLs, titles, notes, tags, folders, projects, favorite/archive/trash state, RSS subscriptions, and import job status.
This information is used to provide your private, authenticated library and synchronize it across your devices. Retracea does not sell your library or personal information and the current app does not contain advertising SDKs.
Security checks
Our signup form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to help prevent automated abuse. Cloudflare processes technical browser and network information for this check. It is separate from optional advertising measurement. We also use pseudonymous rate-limit identifiers and short-lived survey tokens to protect submissions. These identifiers are not sent to advertising services. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy.
02
Other information we collect
If you join the beta waitlist, we collect the email address you submit. If you complete the optional survey, we also collect your answers about how you save and revisit useful things. If you send product feedback or a bug report from the app, we store the message and its category with your authenticated account so we can respond to and improve the product.
To understand whether the landing page is working, we may record the experiment version shown, referral source, basic campaign parameters, and timestamps. We do not ask for or collect payment details, phone numbers, contacts, microphone recordings, camera images, or precise location through the current app or waitlist.
03
How we use it
We use information only to:
- authenticate you and operate, synchronize, secure, back up, and support your private library;
- process actions you request, including link capture, RSS updates, import, export, restore, and account deletion;
- investigate feedback, bugs, abuse, and reliability problems;
- measure interest in Retracea and understand which problems are most worth solving; and
- send relevant beta updates and launch invitations when you joined the waitlist.
We do not sell your personal information.

Storage, security & providers
Account and app-library records are stored using Firebase and Google Cloud. Firebase Authentication handles sign-in, Firebase App Check or Play Integrity helps distinguish genuine app requests, and our authenticated API stores library records for the signed-in owner. Data is transmitted using HTTPS.
Waitlist records are also stored in Firebase. We use PostHog for limited landing-page analytics, such as whether someone opens the waitlist or completes the survey. We do not send your email address, library content, or survey free-text answers to PostHog.
We use service providers only to operate and secure Retracea, send beta communications, and understand interest. Optional landing-page advertising measurement is described below.
Optional advertising measurement
Only after you choose “Allow ad measurement”, we load Meta Pixel to measure page visits and successful beta signups and help evaluate and optimise our Facebook and Instagram ads. Meta receives event names, page URLs, referral information, timestamps and technical information such as your IP address, browser information and cookie identifiers. Meta may associate this activity with your Meta account and use it under its own privacy policy.
We do not send your waitlist email or survey answers to Meta. Automatic advanced matching, automatic interaction collection and server-side Conversions API are not used by this website integration. Do not put personal information in page URLs.
You can reject measurement and still join the beta. Use “Ad privacy choices” at the bottom of any page to turn it off later. We remember your choice in this browser until you change it or clear site storage. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals keep Meta measurement off. Withdrawing consent stops future events; it does not erase data already received by Meta. Meta may set advertising cookies such as _fbp and _fbc when enabled. Read Meta’s Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy for its processing and retention practices.
05
Your choices, export & deletion
You can export a readable HTML copy or private JSON backup of your library from Settings. You can also schedule account deletion in Settings after creating a backup. Deletion has a 30-day cancellation period; after that, the authenticated account and associated Retracea library are deleted. Items placed in Trash follow the retention period shown in the app.
You can unsubscribe from Retracea beta emails using the unsubscribe option in the email. You may request deletion of a separate waitlist entry by replying to a Retracea beta email.
06
Changes to this policy
Retracea is evolving, so this policy may change as the product does. If we make a material change, we will update this page and its date above.
